Firefighting equipment and relief supplies for Kherson

We donated equipment worth almost 5,000 euros to the fire department in the southern Ukrainian city of Kherson. The delivery includes 15 automatically triggered life jackets with spare parts and 8 rescue hoods. This aid operation was also made possible by a donation from Zalando.

We were able to provide additional relief supplies for the people of the village of Novoaleksandrivka in the Kherson district. These included:

  • Mattresses, extra beds and sleeping bags for temporary accommodation,
  • Medicines, clothing, ready meals and hygiene products,
  • Generators, fuel, heaters and firewood.

About 6,000 people live in the community, which was occupied by Russia until its liberation in late 2022. Today, although the Dnieper separates the region from Russia's invading army, most places are still under constant shelling.

The transport and the handing over Our Ukrainian partner organisation Initiative E+ and its supporters organised the distribution of these relief supplies on site.
