Ukraine Aid Berlin continues its winter relief efforts and procures additional raw materials for urgently needed heat candles. Thanks to a successful fundraising campaign, materials worth €5,000 for another 15,000 tin candles have now arrived in Kyiv.
This winter alone, the aid project will produce a total of 30,000 candles. Volunteers make these small sources of light and warmth in their free time – often late into the night.
For many people in Ukraine, these candles are vital for survival, as civilians and defenders, especially in frontline areas, often have to endure without electricity or heating. The candles burn smokelessly for up to five hours. They provide warmth for hands, can be used to make tea, and serve as a light source.
Thanks to your donations, we can support the people in Ukraine with essential aid supplies such as tin candles, power generators and energy storage systems. Every donation helps bring more light and warmth to where the need is greatest.
