156 children from the northern Ukrainian district of Ichnan will start school this year. All of them recently received one of our emergency backpacks.
Each backpack contains a lunch box, a water bottle, biscuits, wet wipes and something to play with. These are useful things the children need when they seek refuge in air raid shelters from Russian attacks.
In April we already 300 such backpacks to school children in Chernihiv and Poltava. We are organizing the relief effort together with the Mariano-Josephinum Gymnasium in Hildesheim and the Rotary Club Kyiv-Capita.
