Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin is continuing its winter aid and is procuring additional raw materials for urgently needed heat candles. Thanks to a successful fundraising campaign, material worth 5,000 euros for a further 15,000 candles has now arrived in Kyiv.
As part of the aid project, a total of 30,000 candles will be produced this winter alone. The small light and heat sources are made by volunteers in their free time - often until late at night.
For many people in Ukraine, these candles are vital to survival, as civilians and defenders in frontline regions often have to endure without electricity or heating. The candles burn smoke-free for up to five hours. They keep hands warm, can be used to make tea and serve as a source of light.
Thanks to your donations, we can support the people in Ukraine with important relief supplies such as candles, power generators and energy storage units. Every donation helps to bring more light and warmth to where the need is greatest.
