Custom-made implants for the wounded

Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin supports the healing of seriously wounded Ukrainian soldiers with special implants made of titanium alloys. Five soldiers were successfully operated on in February 2024. All had suffered serious head injuries. The skull bones were so badly damaged that the natural shape of the head could only be restored with the help of an implant.

In this aid project, we are financing the procurement of a special titanium powder that is needed for 3D printing the implants. Ukrainian engineers use this to produce the bone replacements on a voluntary basis in coordination with the treating surgeons. This means that completely individual implants can be made for all types of bone.

Many soldiers defended the freedom of Ukraine and their fellow citizens, but paid a high price for it. We help up to six seriously wounded people every month with jaw, joint and skull implants. A 3D bone replacement costs an average of 500 euros. This enables a patient to recover quickly and live a dignified life without pain.

Help a seriously injured person now with a donation for a life-changing implant.
