Last week, Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin, together with the IT donation organization Labdoo and local partners, was able to bring important aid to children in Odesa, Kyiv and Poltava.
Clothing and laptops were handed out to needy children in rural areas near Odessa. Many students there are often only able to attend classes online due to the war. Laptops were also provided to some teachers, who often lack the technical equipment to organize effective distance learning sessions.
We also donated soccer equipment so that the children could participate in a free sports program designed to help them get some distance from the everyday life of war. A festival for children of displaced persons was also organized in a district of Odessa—we supported the celebration with stuffed animals, among other things.
In addition, more of our emergency backpacks have arrived for children in Odessa. These small backpacks are packed with practical items like a lunch box, a water bottle, and toys to make the little ones' stay in air raid shelters easier.
We were also able to help in other regions. For example, our partners in Kyiv and Poltava distributed painting supplies and small gifts for Children's Day.
Since Russia’s invasion, Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin has been supporting the project Hope for Ukrainian Kids Children and families in this war-torn country. Thanks to our donors, we can finance school supplies, emergency backpacks, and equipment for social institutions. Help with a donationso that this urgently needed support can continue.
