Firefighting equipment delivered to Nikopol

We were able to provide equipment worth over 2,000 euros to the fire department in the southern Ukrainian city of Nikopol. The relief supplies included special flashlights, lever and breaking tools, and blood measuring devices. There were also two carrying frames for breathing apparatus bottles that the Warstein fire department donated for their Ukrainian colleagues.

A large part of the funds for the purchase came from the proceeds of a benefit concert by pianist Olga Yermakova. A heartfelt thank you also goes to Christian Clewing, Donat Ahle and Vitali Olijnik, who made this important aid delivery possible.

With our ongoing aid project We support fire departments in Ukraine with urgently needed equipment and modern vehicles. For the life savers in Nikopol we were able to procure two fire engines, a logistics truck and various pieces of equipment.

This help is urgently needed because the fire brigade is constantly working to rescue people from the rubble of their homes. Nikopol has been directly on the front line for almost two years and is repeatedly the target of Russian attacks.
