Power outages pose extreme problems for the people of Ukraine: Russia is deliberately destroying the energy infrastructure and leaving millions of people in need. Because power and heating outages are commonplace, we are bringing relief supplies to restore light and heat.
To assist the many affected people, Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin is supplying generators and energy storage units. The electricity will power tents that provide shelter from the cold and warm meals. In addition, our emergency power units are helping rescue workers and displaced families. We have already delivered over 350 vital generators.
Electricity for clinics
Medical facilities are also not spared from Russian attacks. Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin has provided powerful generators to several hospitals and children's clinics. They ensure the power supply to operating rooms, intensive care units, and other critical areas, ensuring lives can be saved even under extreme conditions.
Help with candles
In another project, we are using the raw materials we supply to enable the production of thousands of tin candles. They provide light and warmth for defenders and civilians who often have to endure the destruction of their homes. Volunteers from Kyiv make the candles and bring them directly to those in need. In the cold and dark winter months, they are the only source of warmth for many - and thus life-saving.
