In the northern Ukrainian city of Shostka, food and medicine were recently distributed again to families in need – financed by donations from Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin. A total of 35 families were provided for. The expenses for food and pharmacy supplies amounted to 900 euros.
The aid includes food parcels with basic staples such as flour, rice, and canned goods, as well as hygiene and household items. We have also provided urgently needed medications, including painkillers, vitamins, and asthma and allergy medications. All goods were sourced through local shops and pharmacies, which also strengthens the local economy.
In addition to providing humanitarian aid in Shostka, we were also able to support a sports project in Rivne: A youth sports club received new training equipment – including hurdles, javelins and starting blocks – which is used by about 25 children and young people.
We were able to provide this support thanks to our dedicated donors, without whom such important aid projects would not be possible.
