Generators for the Kharkiv region

Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin has delivered five generators to front-line regions not far from the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, which has a population of one million. Our partner organization “Bes Sumnyvu” (Without Doubt) from Kharkiv took over the distribution on site.

  • In the small town of Staryj Saltiv, the municipal administration received two emergency power generators. Since 2022, the administration building has been destroyed and the office is temporarily housed in the cultural center.
  • A generator went to a veterinarian whose practice was bombed and who now treats the animals of people from the surrounding villages at home.
  • The Zelenohajsk special school in Vysoke has received two power generators. It currently houses 50 refugees from Bakhmut, Zolochiv, Kharkiv, Derhachi and Vovchansk. A planned evacuation will accommodate 20 more people in the facility.

The Kharkiv region has been the scene of heavy fighting since the Russian invasion army recently invaded for the second time. Many people have fled their homes and are now living in temporary accommodation. Russia is also deliberately attacking the power supply, so emergency shutdowns are commonplace.

To alleviate the suffering of the people, we have started a donation campaign for power generators. Help now with a donation.
