Ukraine Aid Berlin has delivered five generators to regions near the front lines, not far from the Ukrainian metropolis of Kharkiv. Our partner organization “Bes Sumnyvu” (Without Doubt) from Kharkiv handled the distribution on site.
- In the small town of Stary Saltiv, the municipal administration received two emergency generators. Since 2022, the administration building has been destroyed and the office is temporarily housed in the cultural center.
- A generator was given to a veterinarian whose practice was bombed and who is now treating the animals of people from the surrounding villages at home.
- The Selenohajsk special needs school in Vysoke has received two generators. It currently houses 50 refugees from Bakhmut, Zolochiv, Kharkiv, Derhachi, and Vovchansk. A planned evacuation will bring 20 more people to the facility.
The Kharkiv region has been heavily contested since the Russian invasion force recently struck for the second time. Many people have fled their homes and are now living in temporary accommodation. Russia is also deliberately targeting the power supply, resulting in frequent emergency shutdowns.
To alleviate people's suffering, we have launched a fundraising campaign for generators. Please help now with a donation. donation.
