Fourteen evacuation vehicles transferred to Ukraine

With today's handover of another off-road vehicle for rescuing the wounded, Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin was able to complete an important fundraising campaign. In the past few weeks, we have acquired 14 vehicles and transported them to Ukraine. All of the cars are used, have four-wheel drive and cost between 2,000 and 8,000 euros.

The SUVs are urgently needed in Ukraine to quickly transport the wounded out of the danger zone and provide them with medical care. Such agile and off-road pickups are vital for survival in the immediate vicinity of the front, because normal ambulances cannot be used there.

The vehicle purchases were made possible by a call from the video blogger Torsten Heinrich, whose spectators donated a total of 75,000 euros. We had active support from numerous volunteers who helped with the inspection and transfer of the vehicles.

In total, Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin has already procured 58 evacuation vehicles, 23 ambulances and 6 fire engines. Because wear and tear is high and Russian troops are deliberately hunting down rescue vehicles, the need remains high.
