We were able to procure a logistics truck for the fire department in Nikopol. Firefighters from the southern Ukrainian city picked up the fully fueled vehicle, loaded with aid supplies, in Berlin last week. After a journey of over 2,000 kilometers, the aid workers have now arrived safely with their new emergency vehicle.
Nikopol lies directly on the Dnipro River. The city is constantly shelled by Russian troops from the opposite bank. Therefore, firefighters are almost continuously on duty to save lives, putting themselves in grave danger.
We would like to sincerely thank the DRK local association Warstein eV, Christian Clewing and the customs agency Berlin, owner David Lambrecht, for the vehicle and the support.
