Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin supported a two-day summer camp for 100 children in the central Ukrainian city of Oleksandriya, covering the costs of food and drinks.
The children were able to take a break from their war-torn daily lives and forge new friendships through the recreational activities. Working in teams of budding chefs, they created many original and delicious meals using randomly selected ingredients. We thank all the helpers and supporters who made this welcome change of pace possible.
Furthermore, we were able to improve the facilities at the "Living Pearl" orphanage in Onufriivka. This small town in the heart of Ukraine is about a half-hour drive from Kremenchuk. We purchased a modern water heater and shelving systems for the preschool and school-aged children living there.
