Together with the Rotary Club of Poltava, we have provided 100 school children with emergency backpacks. Each one contains a lunch box, a water bottle and art supplies. This means the children are equipped with the essentials when they have to seek shelter in the air raid shelter from constant Russian attacks.
The handover took place as part of the “Save Teddy” project at the special school No. 40 in Poltava. In this training for first-graders, the children learn in a playful way how to act quickly in dangerous situations, pack the essentials and get to safety.
The event was organized by the Rotary Club of Poltava together with the rescue teams of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
We financed the backpacks with the help of many committed donors. Thank you very much for your support! Our aid project continues, because many schoolchildren in Ukraine do not yet have an emergency backpack.
