We were able to finance 1,000 non-perishable emergency rations with donations. Each bag contains dehydrated vegetables, enough for 5 liters of soup or borscht. This means that 10 meals can be prepared quickly.
Our aid project for non-perishable food and clean water supports the production of such emergency rations in Ukraine. Food preparation cannot be taken for granted, especially in hard-to-reach places near the front and in emergency shelters.
Emergency food is helpful here because it does not require complicated preparation, has a long shelf life and is easy to transport. This means that ready meals can be quickly delivered to people who have no other means of preparing food.
We were also able to produce smaller water filters finance with donations and send them to Ukraine. This means that drinking water can be produced from contaminated water directly on site. We purchase the filters from the Swiss manufacturer Katadyn at a preferential price.
