Firefighting equipment delivered to Nikopol

We were able to provide equipment worth over €2,000 to the fire department in the southern Ukrainian city of Nikopol. The aid shipment included specialized flashlights, pry bars, and blood pressure monitors. It also included two carrying frames for breathing apparatus cylinders, donated by the Warstein fire department to their Ukrainian colleagues.

A large portion of the funds for the procurement came from the proceeds of a benefit concert by pianist Olga Yermakova. Heartfelt thanks also go to Christian Clewing, Donat Ahle, and Vitali Olijnik, who made this important aid shipment possible.

With our ongoing aid project We support fire departments in Ukraine with urgently needed equipment and modern vehicles. For the firefighters in Nikopol, we were able to procure, among other things, two fire engines, a logistics truck, and various pieces of equipment.

This aid is urgently needed, as the fire department is constantly working to rescue people from the rubble of their homes. Nikopol has been located directly on the front line for almost two years and is repeatedly the target of Russian attacks.
