The children's center "The Sun World" in Kamyanske near Dnipro looks after children from socially disadvantaged families and, more recently, war refugees. Here, the children have the opportunity to get a warm meal, do their homework or simply do crafts or painting with their peers.
The director, Mr. Mykola Trofimov, expects frequent power and heating outages due to Russian shelling of the energy infrastructure and is preparing for a harsh winter.

David Lambrecht, Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin eV, in cooperation with Pravoslavna Cerkva Ukraine in Berlin, was able to supply a powerful power generator that can be used to operate not only lighting but also electric heaters in an emergency.
