This morning, Russia carried out one of the most massive bombings of several Ukrainian cities since the widespread attack on Ukraine. The Alliance of Ukrainian Organizations strongly condemns the terrorist actions of the Russian state and calls on the German government to support Ukraine with air defense and missile defense.
Over 70 missiles were fired at Ukraine from Russia, Belarus and the Black Sea. The cities of Kyiv, Lviv, Ternopil, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Zhytomyr, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Kryvyi Rih and others were shelled by Russia. Today's attacks confirm once again that the civilian population and the destruction of Ukraine's utility infrastructure remain the target of the criminal Russian state. Several people were killed and injured as a result of the bombing, and in many places people are under rubble. At least 11 critical infrastructure facilities were damaged, which will lead to interruptions in water, electricity and heat supplies.
The Russian state carries out terrorist attacks on Ukraine every day, acts as a terrorist state and must be recognized as such.
We appeal to the Chancellor, the Federal Government, members of the Bundestag, and all German politicians. Please do not hesitate to make your decisions and finally enable Ukraine to have protective air defense and missile defense. Help stop the aggressor by saying yes to the delivery of infantry fighting vehicles and battle tanks!
