Attacks on civilian infrastructure and energy supplies in Ukraine are increasing significantly again. To prevent supply shortages, Ukraine Aid Berlin is already launching its winter aid program.
Experience from previous years shows that as soon as the first major power outages occur, the prices for generators, energy storage systems, and relief supplies rise sharply. Purchasing relief supplies early allows donated funds to be used more efficiently.
Due to the persistently dangerous situation for aid workers on the ground, we are continuing our support unabated. Just recently, one of the fire engines we supplied was destroyed in a Russian attack. Emergency responders in Ukraine are constantly in mortal danger and urgently need rescue vehicles and protective equipment.
Focus of the winter aid:
- Power supply: Generators and mobile energy storage
- Heat aid: thermal underwear, hand and foot warmers, and tin candles
- Medical supplies: Medical equipment, medications and consumables
- Support for children: emergency backpacks and equipment for emergency shelters and care facilities
- Emergency services: Emergency vehicles and special equipment for the fire brigade
