Bone implants for wounded are financed

Ukraine Aid Berlin continues its commitment to the recovery of injured Ukrainian soldiers. In March, we were again able to support the production of custom-made bone implants for four patients.

Three soldiers who suffered severe head injuries received custom-made skull plates. Another soldier sustained a forearm injury in December 2023 and has now received a special titanium implant.

We support this aid project by funding the procurement of the medical-grade titanium powder needed for 3D printing the implants. Ukrainian engineers then use this powder to produce individual bone replacements on a voluntary basis, working closely with the surgeons.

Many Ukrainian soldiers are seriously injured while defending their country. Every month, we help up to six seriously injured soldiers with implants. The average cost is €500 per patient. With your donation, you can give someone a speedy recovery and a life free from pain.
