Help for rescue workers in Ukraine

Russia is turning Ukraine into the world's largest minefield and is constantly attacking Ukrainian cities with drones and missiles. We are supplying mine-detecting drones, protective equipment and power storage to rescue workers so they can help people and protect themselves.

Electricity for Lifesavers

Ukrainian cities are attacked by Russia every day. Large parts of the power grid have been destroyed and electricity is being rationed. Emergency services and the Ukrainian disaster control agency also rely on generators and power storage units for emergency calls and communication with each other. We are collecting donations for these devices so that helpers can respond immediately in the event of an emergency.

Drone defense for rescue workers

We are supporting Ukrainian rescue workers in evacuating people from conflict zones. But rescue operations are becoming increasingly dangerous: evacuation vehicles and even ambulances are increasingly being targeted by Russian drone attacks. To protect rescuers and evacuees, we are equipping ambulances and evacuation vehicles with jamming devices. Every donation helps to quickly equip many vehicles and save lives – precisely where assistance is most dangerous.

drones against mines

A third of Ukraine is contaminated with mines. Russian troops left masses of mines behind as they retreated from occupied areas and along the front. Now the deadly booby traps must be removed as quickly as possible. But mines are often difficult to see with the naked eye. That's why we are helping Ukrainian rescue services with special drones to locate mines. During the day, the explosive devices heat up in the sun. Search teams can use the drones' thermal imaging cameras to locate them and ultimately render them harmless.

protection for the helpers

In the south and east of Ukraine, paramedics and police officers are evacuating civilians from contested areas - they are often shot at by Russian troops and attacked with drones. To protect themselves and continue to save lives, the helpers need high-quality protective vests and helmets. But the need is great and many rescue workers in Ukraine are not adequately protected. That's why we finance personal protective equipment with donations and deliver it to the lifesavers on the ground.
