Ukraine Aid Berlin is involved in a special rehabilitation project organized by the Don Bosco Mission Bonn in Lviv, Ukraine. The aim is to help war-wounded people find their way back to a normal life through football training and psychological support.

Since 2014, Ukrainian soldiers have been fighting against the Russian invasion force. Many of them return with severe injuries – often having lost limbs. Even after their physical wounds have healed, they face a long and arduous road ahead.

This special rehabilitation project involves 25 people who lost arms or legs in the war. Besides physical rehabilitation, football plays a central role.

The project has been so successful that a children's team has been formed and they are playing away games. A highlight was their participation in the International Helvetia Cup 2024 in Switzerland, where they played against teams such as Chelsea FC and Everton FC.

To ensure the continuation of this project beyond September 2024, Ukraine Aid Berlin is collecting donations. Every contribution helps to ensure that war-wounded soldiers continue to have the opportunity to participate in life through sports and psychological support.
