Fire departments need equipment

In November 2022, we were able to provide firefighters in Nikopol The city of Warstein is buying two fire engines. The Ukrainian firefighters picked up their new emergency vehicles themselves in the Sauerland region and received tips on technology as well as protective clothing and equipment from their German colleagues.

Until then, rescuers had to use museum-worthy Soviet-era vehicles that frequently broke down. Today, the vehicles from Germany and their crews are in constant operation. Every day they rescue people from the rubble of their homes, extinguish fires, and provide first aid.

This aid campaign demonstrates how many small donations together can have a significant impact. In Ukraine, high-performance fire engines and ambulances are not a given in many places. Therefore, we will continue our efforts and support fire departments, paramedics, and aid workers with vital equipment and vehicles.

We recently received a request from Kherson. The city is located directly on the front line and was occupied by Russian troops for eight months until its liberation in November 2022. During their withdrawal, they took everything that wasn't nailed down. Since then, turnout gear and firefighter gloves have been in short supply. Thermal imaging cameras for rescuing people trapped under rubble are also urgently needed. For this vital equipment We are now collecting donations.
