We recently delivered more than 100 7th generation CAT medical tourniquet systems to Ukraine. The tourniquets are training models and were sent to a training center for paramedics.
Such bandage systems are used primarily in cases of serious injuries to the arms and legs to stop the flow of blood. This allows seriously injured people to be stabilized and made fit for transport to the hospital.
The little lifesavers are also part of the donation-funded Special backpacks for emergency paramedics, of which we have already brought over 200 to Ukraine:
