We recently delivered more than 100 CAT 7th generation medical tourniquet systems to Ukraine. These tourniquets are training models and were delivered to a paramedic training center.
These tourniquet systems are primarily used in cases of severe arm and leg injuries to stop blood flow. This allows seriously injured patients to be stabilized and made fit for transport to the hospital.
The little lifesavers are also part of the donation-funded Special backpacks for paramedics, of which we have already been able to bring over 200 to Ukraine:
