With another shipment of aid to Kyiv, we were able to supply a hospital and refugees. In addition, a donated van is helping with the evacuation of the wounded. Specifically:
- A Berlin nursing home donated 13 hospital beds, 16 bedside tables, and 10 pressure-relieving mattresses to us. This substantial donation in kind was received by Clinical Hospital No. 8 in Kyiv.
- In addition, 13,000 disposable medical gloves were donated by the Berlin Senate Department for Science, Health and Care.
- 1,000 high-quality sleeping bags for sub-zero temperatures will be handed out to internally displaced persons, the elderly and people with poor electricity and heating supplies.
- We handed over a donated VW T4 minibus to our Ukrainian partner organization Initiative E+. The vehicle will be used for the evacuation of the wounded.
The Ukrainian Orthodox Church community once again supported us with the transport, the local distribution is organized by the E+ initiative, and the car was driven by Yuliia Kostetska and Andrej Mauch.
Russia is terrorizing the population of Ukraine with targeted attacks against civilian facilities such as hospitals. The war has forced the already strained healthcare system to care for thousands of additional patients. Therefore, we continue to support doctors, paramedics, and rescue workers with our aid projects.
Together with Ukrainian partners and healthcare experts, we have compiled this list of humanitarian and medical aid supplies:
