Russia's attacks on the energy supply hit Ukraine hard last winter: for months, power and heating outages in sub-zero temperatures were a daily reality for millions of people. Ukraine Aid Berlin therefore delivered energy and heating supplies worth more than €500,000 during the winter of 2025/2026. Twenty-two large diesel generators alone were delivered to Kyiv, Lviv, Sumy, and Dnipro, ensuring the power supply for 17 hospitals. In addition, 40 high-performance power stations and numerous smaller generators were provided.
In addition to energy supplies, we have provided further winter relief supplies for internally displaced persons, paramedics, and homes for the elderly, disabled, and children, including:
1,576 sets of thermal underwear, 1,500 sleeping bags, 1,200 kg of paraffin for tin candles, thousands of hand and foot warmers, power banks, gas stoves, heaters and Starlink terminals.
All these aid measures would not have been possible without the generous support of our donors and the tireless efforts of our volunteers.
Even though winter is over, Russia continues its attacks on civilian infrastructure – meaning that a reliable supply of electricity and heat remains vital for many people. We sincerely thank you for your continued solidarity and support.
