In recent days, we were able to coordinate further aid shipments to Ukraine. Because many children in the Kovel district have to attend school in shelters and basements due to Russian airstrikes, we equipped a local school with additional desks and chairs. The used furniture came from the Fanny Hensel Elementary School in Berlin. We organized the transport together with Enno Lenze and Wieland Giebel from the Berlin Story Bunker Documentation Center and the logistics professionals at Olimptrans.
Another shipment arrived at the stroke center of the First Medical Association in Lviv. Hospital beds, bedside tables, wheelchairs, and walkers were handed over in cooperation with the Johanniter-Malteser Foundation Aide & Assistance from Switzerland.
Furthermore, we were able to supply additional life-saving tourniquets. Together with the Leleka Foundation, 326 of these tourniquets were procured. We obtain the bandages directly from the Ukrainian manufacturer SICH at discounted prices. This initiative is made possible primarily by the Donation campaign supported by political scientist Jessica Berlin.
As always, the deliveries are organized entirely by volunteers. Only through the support of our Donors This help is possible. Many thanks to everyone who continually supports our work.
