Easter joy for children in Ukraine

In cooperation with the Anatolij Kukoba Foundation and the Center for Internally Displaced Persons, Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin was able to support two particularly heartfelt initiatives in Poltava around Easter.

On Maundy Thursday, children with special needs visited the Kukoba Museum, where they participated in art therapy and crafted Easter decorations. They also received small gifts, which caused great excitement.

A few days later, for Orthodox Easter, the museum once again welcomed young guests—this time from an art school boarding school. Here, too, there was crafting, baking, and celebration: The children made festive Easter candles and participated in fun competitions.

Our local partners dedicated themselves to creating a wonderful experience for the children—a sense of normality, joy, and hope in times of war. We supported the small Easter celebrations with craft materials and gifts.

Such activities are only possible thanks to our donors. Find out how you can support the aid for children in Ukraine on our Project page and here at Betterplace.
