Easter joy for children in Ukraine

In cooperation with the Anatolij-Kukoba Foundation and the Center for Internally Displaced Persons, Ukraine Aid Berlin was able to support two particularly heartfelt initiatives in Poltava around Easter.

On Maundy Thursday, children with special educational needs visited the Kukoba Museum, where they participated in art therapy and made Easter decorations. They also received small gifts, which were met with great enthusiasm.

A few days later, for Orthodox Easter, the museum once again welcomed young guests – this time from an art school boarding school. Here too, there was crafting, baking, and celebrating: the children made festive Easter candles and participated in playful competitions.

Our local partners have created a wonderful experience for the children with great dedication – a touch of normalcy, joy, and hope in times of war. We supported these small Easter celebrations with craft supplies and gifts.

Such initiatives are only possible thanks to our donors. You can find out how to support aid for children in Ukraine on our website. Project page and here at Betterplace.
