We had already been able to bring two shipments of medicines, vitamins and medical supplies to Poltava, now the third trip followed!
This time too, the transport went via Borys in Lviv, with longer waiting times at the border, but our drivers for Ukraine Aid were not deterred by this.
This time, in addition to essential medications and vitamins, the shipment also included specialized equipment and materials for the accelerated treatment of severe wounds. Vladyslav Zakharenko from the Trauma Center of the First Municipal Hospital gratefully accepted them. Once again, the tireless Larysa from the Rotary Club Poltava helped with receiving and distributing the supplies, even though the protracted war is taking an increasingly heavy toll on our friends on the ground.
In Poltava (150 km southwest of Kharkiv), refugees and injured people from the east and south of the country continue to arrive daily. The hospitals are overcrowded and suffering from severe supply shortages.
Outlook: With our upcoming fourth project and transport, we will supply a neonatal unit in the crisis area with medicines and equipment.
