Ukraine Aid Berlin has delivered urgently needed medications to medical facilities in Kyiv and Izyum in recent days.
The intensive care unit of the Children's Center for Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery in the Ukrainian capital received antibiotics for the treatment of children with severe endocarditis. According to doctors, the number of these heart infections is increasing significantly in Ukraine. Strong antibiotics are needed for treatment, but these are scarcely available in Ukraine.
We also supplied an eye clinic in Kyiv with medication. Ukrainian defensemen receive free treatment there. The clinic collaborates with the medical institute of Kyiv University, which now operates its own department on site.
Our partners from the E+ initiative have also delivered further medications to a clinic in Izyum, eastern Ukraine. Many wounded people are receiving medical care in the frontline city.
We were able to procure this shipment thanks to donations and the support of the hospital supplier Antares Apotheke Pharma Service from Hamburg. This cooperation allows us to purchase all medications at the lowest possible prices.
