Two additional emergency vehicles are now available to the fire brigade in Nikopol, southern Ukraine: After being procured by Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin, the cars were handed over to Ukrainian rescue workers at the weekend.
Nikopol lies directly on the front line and is subjected to daily shelling by the Russian occupiers. The work of the firefighters is life-threatening, as rescue workers are also targeted by Russian drone pilots. The two vehicles reinforce the fire department's fleet and help extinguish fires and save lives. To ensure that emergency responders can reach the scene quickly, we have made it our mission to replace the often outdated Soviet-era vehicles with reliable technology.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the fire brigades from Werl and Meppen for the generous donation of the technical equipment and to the customs agency Berlin for the professional support.
In total, we have already delivered 355 rescue and evacuation vehicles. Fourteen of these are fire engines for cities such as Kherson, Kharkiv, and now Nikopol again.
Every donation This enables us to finance more high-performance vehicles and deliver them directly to where they can make the difference between life and death.
