300 emergency backpacks for first-graders

We procured 300 emergency backpacks for schools in Chernihiv and Poltava. These contain the essentials children need when seeking refuge in air-raid shelters during Russian attacks. Each backpack includes a water bottle, a lunchbox, biscuits, wet wipes, toys, and more.

Many thanks to the Mariano-Josephinum Gymnasium in Hildesheim and the Rotary Club Kyiv-Capital for their support. The need for these backpacks far exceeds our capacity. To enable us to supply more schools, we will continue to collect donations for our aid project.

According to figures from the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Russia's campaign of annihilation has so far claimed over 23,000 lives and left more than 23,000 civilians in Ukraine dead and injured – including 1,500 children.
