This morning, Russia carried out one of the most massive bombing campaigns against several major Ukrainian cities since the widespread attack on Ukraine. The Alliance of Ukrainian Organizations strongly condemns the terrorist actions of the Russian state and appeals to the German Federal Government to support Ukraine with air defense and missile defense.
Over 70 missiles were fired from Russia, Belarus, and the Black Sea region into Ukraine. The cities of Kyiv, Lviv, Ternopil, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Zhytomyr, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Kryvyi Rih, and others were shelled by Russia. Today's attacks confirm once again that the civilian population and the destruction of Ukraine's infrastructure remain the targets of the criminal Russian state. The bombing has killed and injured several people, and many are trapped under rubble. At least 11 critical infrastructure sites have been damaged, leading to disruptions in water, electricity, and heating supplies.
The Russian state carries out terrorist attacks on Ukraine every day, acts as a terrorist state and must be recognized as such.
We appeal to the Chancellor, the Federal Government, members of the Bundestag, and all German politicians. Please do not hesitate with your decisions and finally enable Ukraine to have protective air and missile defense. Help stop the aggressor by voting yes to the delivery of infantry fighting vehicles and main battle tanks!
