Support for the wounded

Ukraine Aid Berlin supports wounded people who are being treated in Germany.

After graduating from a higher military educational institution in 2016, Maksym B. was directly involved in defending Ukraine's independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He has received state awards.

Since the beginning of the comprehensive invasion of Ukraine by the aggressor country on February 24, 2022, Maksym has defended our country against the attackers.

During the defense of the city and region of Kyiv on March 5, 2022, he suffered a gunshot wound to the blind neck with an open spinal cord and spinal cord injury during the fighting.

Maksym underwent urgent surgery in Ukraine. On May 8, 2022, with the help of generous people, he was transported to Germany, where he received treatment in hospitals: the Bundeswehr Hospital in Berlin and the Unfallkrankenhaus (Trauma Center) in Berlin.

He is now being treated at the Beelitz-Heilstätten specialist hospital for early neurological rehabilitation. He has undergone several major operations.

His current condition is stable and serious: he is completely immobile but fully conscious. He requires round-the-clock assistance.

To communicate with the outside world, Maksym needs special devices that allow a person in this condition to communicate with other people via gadgets, learn about the world, watch news, movies, various information, and much more.

The TubusOne device was purchased from Ukraine Hilfe Berlin eV for Maksym. TubusOne fully meets the stated specifications.

By breathing through a pen (mouthpiece), a person can use the TubusOne with a smartphone and other smart devices.
