Help that arrives: This time it's new and used wheelchairs, rollators and walking aids that we received via the Lions Club Grevenbroich last Saturday.
Since the open Russian invasion of Ukraine, several Lions Clubs have channeled their aid to Ukrainian recipients (primarily hospitals) through our organization, Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin e.V. We owe this in large part to Professor Dr. Höltmann from Grevenbroich, a long-time Lions member and former District Governor of the Lions in the Rhineland, whose club was the first to donate an ambulance to Kyiv Hospital No. 8.
After that, he was able to win over other Lions Clubs from the Rhineland to cooperate with us, for whom it was particularly important that the aid went directly to specific recipients and arrived safely.
