Active member
Take matters into your own hands
If you would like to actively support the association's work and get involved in humanitarian aid, then become an active member. Together we will find an area where you can contribute. Active members have voting rights at the annual general meeting.
Supporting member
Contributions help
If you would like to help but cannot invest your time, we offer a supporting membership. Supporting members advance our projects with their contributions. Any individual or legal entity can become a supporting member; however, there is no voting right.

Frequently Asked Questions about Membership
Are the contributions tax-deductible?
Yes. Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin eV is recognized as a non-profit and charitable organization. Both membership fees and donations are tax-deductible.
Can companies or associations also become members?
Yes, in addition to natural persons, legal entities (e.g. companies, associations, foundations) or legally capable partnerships can also become supporting members.
As a member, am I obligated to actively participate in the club?
No. While active members regularly volunteer their time and vote on club decisions, supporting membership is purely financial. As a supporting member, you are not required to take on any tasks and are not involved in the day-to-day operations of the club.
How can I cancel my membership?
Membership can be terminated in writing to the board with three months' notice to the end of the calendar year (December 31st). The notice of termination must therefore be received no later than September 30th.
